Seven day opening at John Lewis

The John Lewis Cribbs Causeway Steering Group wanted to make a big splash to announce their introduction of seven-day trading.The consultancy produced a document detailing costs and layouts of large format interior and exterior banners and a 50,000 run of leaflets. In addition, a method statement was prepared for the Partnership's health and safety officers by the banner installation team.

Banner artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator and the main double-sided 18 metre long banners were produced on an Oce Arizona Digital Screen Press.

An abseiling team from Cumbria worked through the night to install the main banners in the escalator well and at the entrance to the perfumery department.

Similar procedures were used again a few months later at the Solihull branch of John Lewis when it, too, switched to seven-day trading.
